Is Your dog overweight?

Are you wondering if your dog is overweight? Here are some things to look for:
- you should be able to feel your dog’s ribs
- waist should be tucked in some but not alot
- there should not be an excess amount of skin on your dog’s body
- min pins should be around 8 to 10 lbs
Took Bailey to the vet yesterday and she is now officially on a diet. She weighed in at 10.6lbs. She really should be about 9 or 10 so she is a little fat. She is on special diet food now and totally no table scraps. That is a hard thing because bailey looks so cute and she is hard to say no to when she is begging.
More exercise for bailey and her mommie!

Is it weird to get your dog a christmas present?

My husband would flip if he knew I was even thinking of this. He thinks I am totally nuts when it comes to my dog Bailey. He thinks I put too much effort into my dog. I disagree of course because bailey is my baby. I saw this cute santa outfit at wally-world and thought that she would be soooo cute in it. I didn’t get it though, it was too expensive for that little piece of cloth. I wonder what I should get bailey for christmas. I think maybe a stocking with dog treats and toys. I am sure she would love that….

Just Enjoying The Weather

We came from Va so we are used to it. We thought by moving to Texas we were going to escape a cold winter this year. I guess it followed us. Bailey loves to sit all day out on the balcony and enjoy the weather while looking at everything happening around her. Occasionally she barks at a passerby but most of the time she is content just to look around.

Introduction to bailey

To those who don’t know what that means it is short for miniature pinscher. Bailey is of course a female and her colors are typically brown and black. Bailey is a very spoiled dog. She loves to spend her day lounging on the couch occasionally getting up just to bark at neighbors going by the apartment. The rest of the day she spends eating, sleeping some more and walking around the neighborhood. You could say she has a fantastic life. She even gets to go to a park specifically designed for dogs.
